Early Draft - Glenn and Jane on the balcony
Glenn, and a selfie, reveals all in this excerpt from the first draft of Apertures.
I want to apologize again for the lateness of this special feature. Luckily I have some time between coats of paint today (yes, I’m still painting that bathroom).
Here is a scene from Apertures 1.1 (yes, I number my drafts with the first digit representing any major deviations from the previous and the second representing smaller changes) where Glenn follows Jane out onto the balcony and drops a truth bomb that, in the current version of the story, comes a couple of scenes later. This was back when, in Negatives at the time, Cyrus - instead of Aster - had fallen in love with Jane and was a lot less of a sociopath. At this point in Apertures, Cyrus’ ghost was still hanging around Jane as well as Aster’s. In hindsight, I’m a little surprised that a teenage girl hadn’t taken more selfies before now (it was a different time, what can I say?)
